Died after 2 years

I bought this dryer about 2 1/2 years ago and it completely stopped working a couple of weeks ago. I had a repairman come look at it and he told me that the whole computer is fried and needs to be replaced... it would cost over $400 for the repair...that is completely unacceptable in my opinion that a 2 year old dryer would need to have the whole computer replaced. Needless to say I am very disappointed in this dryer and we are choosing to replace it with a new dryer which we didnt plan on having to replace for a long time but we cant spend over $400 to repair something that according to the repairman is likely to have other issues too... we are going back to a basic computer-free dryer. Also the lint trap on the dryer did not seem to catch a lot of lint which I emptied after every use and it kept filling up the duct solidly with lint.

Dump quality

Made a large crashing sound as it hit the pavement at the dump. Had it a year or so and the electrical board went out. Upon calling LG I was informed that for $350.00 plus tax I could have it repaired. Just bought a new dryer - done with LG as they are not the quality they once were along with service issues in getting repair in my area.

I bought this in 2019. It has since had an enormous crack in the drum and has not stopped working altogether. LG has not honored the 10 yr warranty and wants $400 for a tech to come out. We mostly will not buy another LG product.

I bought the DLG7100 dryer based on a Consumer Reports review. It lasted 3 years before the motor had to be replaced. The irony is that I line dry as much laundry as possible. Of course it was out of warranty.

Sensor Dry Does Not Work

Sensor Dry has not worked for a year. Ive been online with LG tech support and have done everything they suggest. No luck. Ive replaced the sensor dry bars still doesnt work. Dryer will keep adding minutes endlessly drying clothing to a crisp. Will be calling private repair person as it is out of warranty. Suspect an internal issue that will involve taking the entire thing apart.

I love this dryer and it is great for the price point But the sensor dry doesnt always work well and I frequently have to run it again for jeans or towels even if I run it on heavy duty and use wool dryer balls. Takes some getting used to in that way but I love everything else about it

Takes forever to dry

I have had this dryer for almost 6 years. I clean out the lint trap and the exhaust hose. It heats up but takes forever to dry. It can sometimes take almost 2 hours for the clothes to dry. When I first got it dried but you had to limit how much clothes you put in it to a half a load. I have an lg tv and could not be happier with it but the dryer has tons of issues

Poor Sensor Dry Reliability

Bought this dryer about 4.5 yrs ago with a 5-yr extended warranty. Good thing The Sensor Dry function has broken twice - Oct-2022 and Apr-2023. Regardless of Sensor Dry setting the timer counts all the way down to approx. 6 min. remaining then resets to 16 min. then counts down to 6 min. remaining then resets....It never shuts off automatically. This is an otherwise good dryer. Per my Best Buy extended warranty one more issue with the same problem will label this a lemon

We had the dryer short of two years and it is bound for the junk yard. The first service call occurred with in the first month of purchase. The second service call came in under two years. LG support informed me that the warranty one year had expired.The salesman misrepresented the 10 year warranty. While this isnt LGs fault the whole experience turned me off LG for life.

I bought this 1 year ago and regret it every load. Who does not put a light in a dryer. Never had one that didnt and the dryers arent plugged in in the stores so its something your not looking for. Id much rather have a light than the annoying little tune that plays signaling cycle is done Plus clothes come out wrinkled most of the time.

Machine Has Been An Issue

Unfortunately we have had 2 major heating errors E1 E2 that basically left the machine inoperable for a period of time until the technician was able to answer the service call. Both error code issues were rectified by replacing the main board twice which seems extremely uncommon. The service technician was very professional and understanding to the inconveniences caused by these issues and went above and beyond each service call to rectify the situation. As of now our dryer is operating properly but we do not have that much faith it will last. Considering the newness of the machine it is leaving a bad taste in our mouths and future purchases of any LG products is unlikely.

Had to replace in less than 2 years

I initially loved the dryer but it stopped working after having it less than two years. A repairman came out and it worked for about 15 minutes before shutting off mid cycle with a clicking noise. He replaced the thermal fuse twice and then was going to have to replace that again along with the element thermostat. We ended up having to replace the dryer completely. We shouldnt not have had to repair or replace in less than two years. I contacted Customer Service and am only receiving a partial refund that does not even cover the repair much less the new dryer. I would not recommend dryer.
