The dishwasher was in the house when we moved in. Works as it should. Had some minor difficulty getting it to run once because the child lock was on. The directions to get the lock off are not very good to understand. Nothing customer service couldnt help me with. One complaint would be that it isnt compatible with iPhone so the smart feature cant be used like on my other appliances.

Look Elsewhere for a dishwasher

Constant leaking issues from the start there is no fix for it other than to remove leaked water from tray under dishwasher. Unit is 3 years old and has had to been worked on every 4-8 weeks. Pump has burnt up twice solenoids have gone bad a few times and control board has failed. Dont buy htis

I purchased this 2 months ago. Worst dishwasher Ive ever owned. Bottom rack goes off track when pulled out. Utensil baskets handle is in the middle making it difficult to load unload. Dishes r difficult to load. Whoever designed this has obviously never used a dishwasher on a daily basis. You need people who actually load dishes to design your dishwasher. On the up side it does get dishes clean is quiet. I own all lg appliances and absolutely love all of the with the exception of the dishwasher.

Run away from anything LG

I thought I would love LG brand anything...boy was I wrong I will probably never buy an LG product again I have never had a dishwasher that runs for two hours and the dishes are still wet? My dishes get fairly clean so theres that but the effort to then hand dry a full dishwasher after it runs for 2 hours is not ideal nor is it saving me time or money. The rack coating has split on both racks after not even two years of use. The racks are split rusted and disintegrating and Im waiting for the day I pull the rack out and it just falls apart. Its probably not good for us but we never had anything like this happen in all of my years of dishwashers and the warranty was up so what does a person do but live with this complete and utterly horrible dishwasher. We bought this brand new this is a true testament by real owners of just one of many crappy LG product we own.

AVOID - Racks Rust After Just a Few years

This is a decent washer but its performance is moot. After just a few short year of use the top rack tines started breaking off. Faced with buying a replacement rack that appears to be built using the same inferior materials. Many other consumers have reported this same issue. The cause is attributed to fine cuts or chips in the rack coating allowing water to infiltrate the wire below. What an absolute design failure for an otherwise decent appliance.

An okay dishwasher with some flaws

Its not horrible but not a great value either. Weve had this a few years now use it daily and the top and bottom rack have already rusted. The plastic top of the door is cracked. Thankfully LG sent a bottom rack because that one was in the worst shape but the top rack is still rusted and top of door is still cracked. I would say its average in terms of capacity and cleaning. Our last dishwasher had a top/third rack and I really miss that. It is fairly quiet and the trays have parts that are movable so we can fit larger items. Thats pretty standard these days though.

I have owned this for just under 3 years. I have had to call for service 3 or 4 times during that period. In the first year the control panel had to be replaced. Before the second year I had to have another service I dont remember what but it wouldnt run a full cycle. Similar problem in the last 6 months and now an error code indicating a leak. I have never had this many problems with any appliance. I doubt I would buy another LG dishwasher because of it.

Great Service

Brand new LG dishwasher. Worked one time. Called in a warranty repair. A tech came out. The motor was bad. LG shipped a new motor. Alerted the tech upon delivery. Tech came out installed new motor quickly and professionally. The tech was Don. Great guy.

Faulty control board

I bought this dishwasher and now it is glitching. No buttons will work and the dishwasher wont run Ive read this is a common problem- the control board gets moisture in it.

Garbage - Bad Product Dont Buy

This dishwasher is absolute garbage Came with a house we bought. Ours is a 2018 model and has been malfunctioning from when we moved in March 2020. It powers off mid-cycle with no error code weve tried all recommended fixes that we could do ourselves. The 1-year warranty means we need to bring in our own tech to fix. I have no confidence in LG. If I am buying a dishwasher to last 3 years Ill just buy a cheaper company. Ill never again purchase LG products...

Like it except rusted racks

Great quiet effective

Ive had this dishwasher for 4 years. Ive had minor sensor issues and my extended warranty was essential for that. Overall its a great dishwasher. Its quiet and does a great job at drying.

The dishwasher has to be unplugged/reset every time. It stops in mid cycle. Its impossible to just turn it on and leave as it has to be watched for stopping and needing to hit start button. Will never buy another LG product.

We bought our LG products in late 2016. For the most part it was working great then about a year ago things started happening. The dishes were grimy we cleaned all the areas often before the issues started. Then the racks started rusting and coming apart.

This dishwasher cleans dishes very well but I also had the rusting issue that everyone else seems to have. I had read the reviews before and just figured they abused the dishwasher but we were extra gentle because of the known rust issue and still got the rust. We recently reached out to LG support via Facebook and their answer was here are the links to the part your dishwasher that is out of warranty. This dishwasher is less than 5 years old and I need to replace the 2 racks. I could buy the racks every 3 to 5 years for half the cost of the dishwasher new but I do not want to pay a subscription for my dishwasher. I will be sending this dishwasher to the landfill and never buy an LG dishwasher again. Honestly who makes rustable parts for the inside of a dishwasher? DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER

Great Dishwasher before and after technical diffic

We have owned this machine for about 2 or so years and it served us well every day until recently. Thankfully bought the extended warranty with it because around November the control panel started going crazy with flashing codes and it wouldnt complete an entire wash cycle. I had a tough time getting someone to help us get it fixed for several different reasons but eventually got the help we needed and after 3 months of messing around we finally were able to have a tech show up to diagnose the problem. It was a simple fix a week later and we are back to enjoying the quiet yet deep cleaning dishwasher once again. Glad I bought the warranty but super glad we bought LG.

How long should a dishwasher last...

I bought this dishwasher 5 years ago. The main board crashed less than 1 year from time of purchase. Luckily it was under a warranty but still a hassle to fix. Fast forward 4 years and we are experiencing the same type of electrical glitches. The advertised ThinQ app did not work. Nor could we ever get it to work. Both racks have rusted. It is not cost efficient to buy 2 new racks PLUS replace another mother board. Very disappointed in the quality of this machine. By the way dont expect great customer service from LG in trying to resolve issue. It is essentially a call center with not technical expertise

For just a few dollars more than an entry-level unit this dishwasher provides countless upscale features. Stainless steel inside and out. Quiet operation. Wide variety of operational functions. The most important thing of course is that it cleans and sanitizes dishes very effectively. Love this thing Another bonus with LG... AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I assume this is the dishwasher I purchased 6 years ago with a 10 year warranty good only for the motor and not the electronics that failed recently. I had 6 good years but I expected more. Because of the questionable reliability of LGs appliances I recently replaced my washing machine with a competitor although I was considering an LG before this short-life product. Maybe you should stick to TVs if you wont support your kitchen appliances with reasonable warranties.

Rusted Dishrack and Long Wash/Dry Time

This dishwasher came with our house that was renovated with new appliances in 2018. After 4 years of previous ownership the bottom dishrack has large areas of rust that we cant seem to find a replacement rack for. It seems cheaply made. The wash/dry time is 2+ hours which seems very excessive. We might have to replace the dishwasher since rust isnt healthy for any household. Also a significant annoyance is that our dishwasher only seems to run in auto mode and nothing else.

Not very good long term

I have had this diswasher for 5 years. I admit that I didnt pay much attention to it but I dont abuse it and clean it regularly. Recenly I discovered that the back of the washing racks s had severely rusted and top plastic of the diswasher part of the control panel was severely cracked. Both of these problems should not have occured. I am a light user of the product. This shoud not have occurred and it will make me think about buying another LG diswasher. I am very dissapointed in this product.

Two year old dishwasher needs a new motor.

Purchased in 2019. Electronic board quit and had to prove warranty was on it by sending actual picture from manual. Part was still covered but service repair held us up. Made appointment and waited 9 hours only to be re-scheduled. Then when part arrived we waited another nine hours before being re-scheduled. I was able to install part myself. Seems this is a common occurrence.

Great at first...

The dishwasher worked great at first but started giving us issues about 2 years in. Would stop midway through the cycle and you had to manually continue it or else it would shut off completely leaving water soap etc sitting inside it. After another year it stopped working all together would countdown when you hit start and then would just beep and not start. This is our 3rd LG kitchen appliance that stopped working within 3 years of purchase

This dishwasher cleans the dishes good but the top rack has an area that rusted through and LG says it is cosmetic and due to something I put on the shelf. I have never put anything in the dishwasher that could cut through the plastic coating and allow water to penetrate the metal. It is rusted all the way there is a 1 1/2 spot that has no metal or plastic. the plastic seems to have disintegrated as I have never found any pieces in the bottom of my dishwasher.

Racks Rusting and Other Issues

I bought this about 3 years ago. During that time we had to replace the level sensor under warranty the front control panel and its cover. Last year we noticed parts of the racks rusting out in several areas. This is the first time in the 30 years I have owned dishwashers that I have experienced this.
