The refrigerator is great unfortunately the ice-maker is not. The ice-maker has been repaired several times but the problems never were corrected. Now I am waiting for a new door to be delivered to fix the problem. I have gone months without ice.

This is the second time we have bought this model refrigerator We bought the first one and loved it so much had so many compliments on it from friends and family. Everyone loves the sleek clean and modern look of the refrigerator. They love the knock knock door to look into the refrigerator without opening the door. But what blows everyones mind is the two separate ice makers one on the freezer door that you can fill your glass from- either cubes or crushed ice and then the Craft ice inside the freezer that are round orbs of ice that everyone wants in their glass to drink from The spacious interior provides lots of room to put my refrigerated items in and the drawers never allow my produce to freeze or feel wet. The clear shelves make it easy to inventory everything in the refrigerator and freezer for food preparation or creating a shopping list. And clean up is a breeze inside with just a wipe down throughout the refrigerator and freezer sections. When we sold our house this refrigerator was quite the incentive for the buyer along with our other LG appliances. When we bought our new home we made sure to order this exact model and had it delivered We love this side by side refrigerator

This has to be the worst refrigerator made. Bought new from Lowes. After 8 months the compressor went out. It was repaired under warranty. After 14 months the craft ice stopped working. Two years now and I cant install a new water filter.

Awful fridge - poor design

I hate this fridge more than any fridge Ive ever had. It was 9 months old and had to have complete service repairs to the cocktail ice cube maker and other. When you open the door the door bins fall out and smash all over the floor and fridge interior and the freezer. One panel of glass broken in the freezer from the bins falling off the door. The glass is see through but is in no way connected to any technology that helps you see in it if you are for example at the grocery store and wonder if you need something which is what I thought it did. There are no trays for meat cheese or other. Its a horrible fridge in general in my opinion. The cocktail ice cubes are nice. I am now in the process of replacing the door bins in the fridge because my husband cant glue them anymore I ordered the part from the part company that LG directs you to that is actually stamped on the part and it was the wrong part and doesnt fit. Its impossible to find phone numbers to call anyone until AFTER the parts were received and on the invoice. I now have to pay a 20 restocking fee to Reliable Parts in Dartmouth NS CANADA and am responsible for the cost of shipping these. As soon as I can afford a new fridge I will definitely purchase one. My advice is to stay away from this one.

Broke down before a year and the other months

I bought a refrigerator and stove. The ice maker went out with in a year and one burner on the stove with in months. They would not fix both things. They made me do one repair and then had me call for the other repair. Because it took so long . The refrigerator repair was two days short of the year warranty. The stove was still in warranty. We purchased this refrigerator and at first it worked great Then the craft ice machine crapped out after only 5 months of use then the freezer side crapped out set for -7 degrees and actual temperature is 25 degrees then the refrigerator crapped out a few days ago cooling issue over 45+ degrees. Contacted customer service three days ago and they indicated there were no repairmen in the area. The CS representative indicated they would elevate the issue but we have not heard from them since. UPDATE: I just contacted customer service again 2 days later and they had not done anything with regard to my warranty. I had to spend over an hour chatting with them. Their response was someone will get back to you in 1 to 3 days and I still do not have a working refrigerator

Im this refrigerator was delivered on 07/19/2024 and the ice maker is not working. Every time I call LG I am told to give the refrigerator 24 to 48 Hr. We have a work order to try and repair it. But I am not happy at all after spending $3000.00 for a fridge with a manufacturer defect.

I am unable to connect to ThinkIQ as the Grid button does not work. It has been a Nightmare getting help. I live on Guam a U.S. Territory and there are no LG technicians on this island. The LG call center in the Philippines have nice people but their hands are tied by LG. I told them that texting does not work on Guam email does and after two weeks of calling the Philippines staff finally someone from the Presidentidental Liason Office on the U.S. mainland texted me stating We have texted and called you I received no calls and can only read texts and cannot respond to them numerous times with no response so we are closing your case. Unbelievable After two weeks of dealing with this Alexis on the US mainland canceled my case in one day. I called the Philippines again that is all LG allows and they had to reopen the case. I told them again only emails work. This was four days ago and no messages have arrived from the Presidential Liason Office. Whats more LG does not allow its Philippine teams access to a phone number or email for this mainland team only messaging them within the LG system is allowed. I am beyond frustrated and LG customer service for this customer is abysmal. PS the unit was purchased at Home Depot here on Guam on January 7 2024.

Ice Makers Suck - Buy anything but LG

Ice Maker quit after about 3 months. LG Customer support sent me a craft ice maker replacement instead of the regular. Big and Beautiful

I ve had this fridge for a few weeks and it has some really nice features I enjoy the bigger size more storage and the water filter is in upper right corner of the fridge which makes it so easy to change. The craft ice maker is fun and my pups love to play with the round ice. The peek in option makes it easy to check items inside without opening the door ya have to love that when you live in the desert. However I wish it had adjustable shelves in both the fridge and freezer and more drawers. I like things organized and its hard to do that without moveable shelves and it has 2 drawers in both fridge and freezer areas another one in each area would be nice. Overall I really like it. It is a beautiful addition to my kitchen.

Great but could have improvements

Have used for about a month. Love the ball ice inside freezer. The problems Ive had is getting the ice to produce enough. When the door runs out takes a long time to replenish. I wish there were more videos on tips and tricks.

We bought the fridge almost two years ago when we remodeled our kitchen and have been very happy with it. My wife loves the features. We had a recent issue with it that required a technician but LG was helpful in getting it resolved. The technician that came out was very knowledgeable polite and professional. Excellent service which you dont always see nowadays.

Poor customer service

We had this installed May 30th and about a week later the freezer door began to give us issues. It pops open and no longer closes fully anytime the fridge door is open leading to frost building up in the freezer and things thawing. I have reached out to Home Depot and then LG and have been waiting for over a week now for LG to get back to me in order to schedule a fridge repair. It has been an extremely frustrating process working with LG to have someone come and service our brand new fridge.
